Intimidating Message Found at Rosario School

Unknown individuals hung a banner with an intimidating message at the entrance of the Vigil No. 1,235 school, located at number 2700 on Ayacucho Street in the city of Rosario, during the night on Tuesday. The sign, written in red spray paint, contained threats directed at a member of the drug gang Los Monos and at a figure linked to the barras bravas of Rosario Central.

The banner was found tied with wire to the establishment's gate and removed by personnel from the Radioelectric Command and the Investigation Police. From Amsafe Rosario, concern was expressed about the recurrence of schools as a means of communication between criminal gangs.

"It is impossible to talk about normality when schools are again scenes of mafia intimidation," stated delegate Juan Pablo Cassiello, who confirmed that a teacher discovered the banner during the early morning and alerted the authorities. Despite the incident, the institution carried out its activities normally on Wednesday.

The teachers' union demanded greater security and blamed the lack of institutional control amid the intervention of the Regional Unit II of the Police. "The objective of these messages is to make it clear that they can act with impunity," they pointed out from the union, demanding a prompt response from the State to protect school communities.
